Growing up in the eighties, Kevin Bacon was something of a role model to many of my friends and I. We always rushed out to see the newest Bacon-starring movie as soon as it came out. From his epically iconic roles in movies like Animal House, Footloose, Tremors, A Few Good Men and TV series like The Following,Kevin’s on-screen charisma always manages to keep you hooked and rooting for his characters, even when he plays the villain. Through countless films and television work, Kevin continues to stay busy and each character he plays is still as intriguing as the one that came before. While he really doesn’t need an introduction, there is something you may not have known, Kevin Bacon is also a musician, and a damn good one.

Michael Bacon, Kevin’s older brother and musical partner, may not be as familiar to you as Kevin’s on-screen work, but you have undoubtedly heard some of the amazing compositions he has done for film and television. With a dozen or more feature films and countless television credits under his belt, it’s amazing that he has time to also be in a rock band, and even more so that he has time to tour with one. Kevin Bacon, Michael Bacon: Brothers celebrate Towne Crier Cafe history

Ask actor and musician Kevin Bacon about the first show that he and his brother played as the Bacon Brothers and you will gain plenty of insight into a Dutchess County venue that has generated a great deal of Hudson Valley history.
